Welcome to the Cultivating Safe Spaces EcoSystem
Cultivating Safe Spaces is built on trust, courage, responsibility, and understanding self. We cannot control how someone chooses to show up in this work. What we can do is create clear conditions for participation and ask every facilitator to take responsibility for how they learn, practise, facilitate, and carry CSS into relationship with others.
Train the Trainer is not simply about learning content.
It is about beginning to understand yourself as a facilitator.
You will be asked to notice your own responses, perspectives, assumptions, regulation, relationships, and patterns while learning how to create conditions where other people can do the same.
Your Facilitator Pathway
Successful completion of the Self-Paced Train the Trainer leads to Level 1 Certified CSS Facilitator certification.
Level 1 focuses primarily on the first two scales of the CSS Architecture:
Scale 1: Self
Who do I need to become?
Scale 2: Relationship
Can two people remain connected while navigating difference?
As a Level 1 Certified CSS Facilitator, you will be prepared to introduce the foundational CSS framework and deliver approved Intro to CSS learning experiences for groups of up to 30 people.
Your certification is lifetime certification.
You do not need to maintain a paid membership in order to remain certified.

This is a self-paced learning experience, but self-paced does not mean rushed. Give yourself enough time and attention to work through the teaching, reflection, practice, and facilitator learning.
Please confirm that:
You have completed your Train the Trainer application and received approval
You have completed an approved Intro to CSS learning experience
You are ready to engage with the course thoughtfully and honestly
You understand that certification requires more than simply watching the course material
You are prepared to work within the approved scope of a Level 1 CSS Facilitator

Once you begin accessing the Self-Paced Train the Trainer course, your registration is non-refundable.
We want people entering the facilitator community because they are ready to engage with the work, not because they felt pressure to finish quickly.
Certification and Optional Membership
When you successfully complete CSS Train the Trainer, you become a Certified CSS Facilitator.
Your certification is lifetime certification.
You do not need to maintain a paid membership in order to remain certified.
Membership is a separate, optional way to stay active within the CSS Facilitator Ecosystem.
As an active member, you can access additional learning, facilitator resources, professional development, community connection, and visibility through the CSS Facilitator Directory. Membership starts at $9.99 per month depending on which scale you’re operating within.
The distinction is simple:
Certified CSS Facilitator
You have successfully completed Train the Trainer and hold your CSS certification. Your certification remains valid whether or not you have an active membership.
Active CSS Facilitator Member
You are a Certified CSS Facilitator who has chosen to maintain an optional membership in order to access ongoing learning, resources, community opportunities, and Facilitator Directory visibility.
Membership is optional. Certification is not dependent on membership.
You can cancel your membership at any time. If you step away, your certification remains valid, and you can choose to re-enrol in the membership community later.
As your experience grows, there will also be opportunities to deepen your practice through additional facilitator levels focused on teams, leadership, organizations, communities, systems, and larger-scale work.
