Partner Journey
WE WANT TO SOLVE SOMETHING TOGETHER
For Nations, communities, organizations, boards, leadership teams, institutions and partners working through something real.
A governance challenge.
A difficult relationship.
Conflict that keeps resurfacing.
Organizational change that looks good on paper but is not working with actual people.
A decision nobody can seem to move.
A problem everyone knows is there, but nobody quite knows what to do with.
Using Cultivating Safe Spaces, we work alongside people to understand what is happening, ask better questions, strengthen human capacity and figure out what moving forward actually requires.
Start with the problem. We can figure out the scale together.

Stay with the Work
Working Engagements
Some challenges cannot be resolved in a workshop or one good meeting.
Working engagements give us enough time to understand the situation, work on it, try something, come back, learn from what happened and continue.
This work may involve:
governance
leadership
organizational change
conflict and accountability
difficult relationships
decision-making
community engagement
planning
participation
alignment
Best when the goal is to work through a real challenge over time.
If we are a good fit and the work needs more time, we are open to continuing.
Work Across Systems
Systems Advisory
For Nations, governments, corporations, institutions and cross-sector partners working on challenges that cross organizational boundaries.
This is for work involving multiple interests, relationships, histories, responsibilities or structures, where no single team or organization can solve the problem alone.
Systems work may include:
governance
policy
institutional change
Indigenous and non-Indigenous relationships
cross-sector coordination
structural change
shared strategy
long-term implementation
Best when the goal is to work on complexity at the Community, Systems or Society scale.
Start with the Scale of the Challenge
Cultivating Safe Spaces works across eight connected scales:
Self → Relationship → Team → Leadership → Organization → Community → Systems → Society
Partner Journey work is usually focused at the Leadership, Organization, Community, Systems and Society scales.
As the scale changes, the work changes too.
A leadership issue may require a focused working session.
An organizational issue may require alignment across roles, decisions and structures.
A community issue may involve history, participation, governance and relationships.
A systems issue may involve multiple organizations, governments or institutions working across boundaries.
The scale of the challenge determines the work.
What Working Together May Include
Partner work may include:
Scoping
Understanding the challenge before deciding what kind of intervention is needed.
Review + analysis
Looking at plans, policies, governance documents, previous work and the conditions shaping the issue.
Facilitation
Supporting difficult conversations, collective thinking and decision-making.
Strategy
Clarifying priorities, responsibilities, choices and next steps.
Written tools + synthesis
Creating practical tools, recommendations or frameworks that can support the work after the engagement.
Implementation support
Coming back to see what is working, what is not and what needs to change.
Partner Journey engagements may include scoping, document review, diagnosis, custom design, facilitation, synthesis, written tools and implementation support.
Not Sure Where You Fit?
You do not need to know which service you need.
You do not need to arrive with a perfectly written scope.
Tell us what you are trying to move.
We can figure out the scale and the right way to work together from there.
Looking for a CSS Facilitator?
Not every piece of work needs to be led by Elaine.
The CSS Facilitator Network includes certified practitioners who work across different sectors, communities and areas of practice.
If you are looking for someone to support learning, facilitation, leadership, team or organizational work, you can explore the directory and find a facilitator whose experience fits what you need.
