Choosing Your CSS Facilitator: What to Consider

What Makes a CSS Facilitator Different?

Every facilitator in our directory has:

✔ Completed the Intro to CSS eCourse

✔ Completed Level 1 of the CSS Train the Trainer Certification

✔ Learned and embodied the Four Necessary Conditions, Four Protocols, and Four Perspectives

✔ Committed to delivering CSS with relational integrity, emotional safety, and deep alignment with the teachings

These aren’t just presenters or trainers — they are practitioners of relational leadership, living this work in motion.

How to Choose the Right Facilitator

Each CSS Facilitator brings their own style, story, and expertise.
This is not a one-size-fits-all framework — it’s relational, contextual, and adaptive. That’s what makes it work.

When choosing a facilitator:

  1. Clarify what you're looking for:
Why are you bringing in a CSS Facilitator? What do you want your group to experience?

  2. Share your context:
Who’s in the room? What systems or sectors are you navigating?

  3. Ask for alignment:
Let the facilitator reflect on whether they’re the right fit. This is about right relationship — not sales.

Areas of Expertise

Our facilitators specialize in a wide range of sectors and systems, including:

  • Education

  • Health & Wellness

  • HR & Organizational Culture

  • Government & Governance

  • Climate, Land & Water Work

  • Language Revitalization

  • Youth & Community Engagement

  • Arts and Culture

  • Business and Corporate Spaces

  • Indigenous Healing & Planning

You can filter by area of expertise when browsing the directory. There’s no perfect match — but there are powerful ones.

What Kind of Leadership Style Do You Need?

Our facilitators often lead from one or more of the Four CSS Perspectives:

  • Tradition – Story-holders and culture-rooted teachers

  • Relationship – Deep listeners and emotional safety builders

  • Action – Anchors of clarity, focus, and structure

  • Innovation – Visionaries, disruptors, and system-changers

This diversity ensures you’ll find someone aligned with your values and your needs.

A Note About Oversight

Naqsmist does not police or oversee facilitators. Our facilitators (including Elaine) are human. We do not guarantee perfection.

We expect all facilitators to:

  • Self-assess before and after every session

  • Stay connected to the framework, and their impact

  • Hold themselves accountable to the values of CSS

  • Make relational repair as long as it does no further harm/conflict

This is a living practice — not a rigid protocol. If you do not think the CSS Facilitator aligned with your organizations goals, please make an effort to connect directly with the CSS Facilitator to resolve through open communication and honesty. It's uncomfortable, but that’s what this is all about.
